If riding a bike to the Arvada Kite Festival, a group is meeting at 10am at Van Bibber Trailhead (5575 Ward Road, Arvada CO in Jefferson County) for a bike ride before kite flying. The festival organizers encourage folks to “bike or walk” to ensure room for all. There is a special bike parking lot available. The location is the Stenger Sports Complex, at 58th Avenue and Quail Street, Arvada CO. Free parking is available at Stenger field. Gates close at 4:30pm, and all vehicles need to depart the area before that time. Music, booths, kites, free kids activities, & food throughout the day. The April 3, 2016 event runs from 10am to 3pm, rain or shine. The released schedule is as follows:ġ0 am the event begins, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance.
